When you sign up for anything on active there is a whole list of boxes that you have to de-select or check off, and it is usually at the bottom of the form(probably telling you something you already know, if that is the case then ignore me).
Some of the boxes are tricky, you have to read all those little boxes and make sure you choose correctly otherwise you will get signed up for something. If you are just getting their updates in your email you should be able to unsubscribe from this. Not sure about the Hawaii lottery form, but one tri I signed up for had all kinds of options from special t-shirts to charity donations, special subscriptions, its really annoying. I would imagine on the Hawaii form it would be similar.

You didn't "opt out." I totally agree with you. It is a shady practice. They slip it by you with those check boxes. You have to say, "No, I do NOT want them." Another reason why crap-tive dot com sucks.

last year i did entered the lottery and those nice people at Active subscribed me illegally to every sort of subscription they had. (they didn't actually send me anything)
Does anyone has a procedure on how to pay and enter, and opt out of their subscriptions? I must have registered and not seen their B.S. subscription thing???
