The run marks my second anniversary in ultrarunning. I knew it was going to be hotter than hell, and it was: low '90's with 55% humidity...a "feels like temp" of 100+ degrees. We probably shouldn't have been out there at all.

I thought I was melting and it was truly miserable. But I finished just a minute slower than my last 50K. Ces't la vie! It was a huge mental training kind of day that will surely be money in the bank for something bigger.
