i just completed my first half IM this weekend.

I am signed up to do another one at the end of the month.

I have 4 weeks to rest/train/tapper.

Any suggestion's or tips would be very helpful. I followed a 20 week schedule that was great leading up to my race that had a two week tapper at the end of the schedule. So, if i follow that again i will only have 1 week to train because i feel like rest for this week.
thanks

At this point taking it easy is your friend.
Keep the training between low and medium intensity.
This will make sure you don't lose your fitness and you'll show up rested.

rest for a week or whatever you are comfortable with add a slow run to shake it out and a slow bike 1st week. pool time will benefit your aches and pains. ease into 2 weeks of easy maintenance runs and bike as you are able. taper, do it again.

nutrition directly after the race is just as important easing back in to it.

good luck
