Truthfully? I've got a new job starting next week in a downtown Dallas highrise (golf clap, golf clap). I figured my ratty camel back won't suffice in the new environs so I've been looking for a briefcase and yes, Gucci came to mind, but it quickly surpassed my pay grade. Anyways, I was at the Gucci site and found the bike and knew only you would appreciate it.

Who the hell carries a briefcase anymore? Oughtn't they be reserved for the pretentious who append Esq. to their names (and actually use them to carry briefs)?
As to the bike, it doesn't look all that different than the 80's Schwinn commuter I bought my GF for $100. Reminds me of the $1000 gold D&G cell phone that you could get in black for free... Excess for the sake of excess. Do you know if they're carrying it in stores? I'd love to roll up on my beat-up 80's Schwinn commuter (matching man's version of the GF's, also $100) and ask to take it for a ride. It would be like driving up the the Lamborghini dealership in a rusted out Dodge Omni and asking to test drive a Murciellago.

sooner, you'd need to put some clip on aero bars on there if you were going to race. so you'll have to add another $100 onto the price tag. That being said is worth $6,465? I don't know... $6,365 maybe...

I'd love it if someone would repaint their tri bike with Gucci insignia... At least it would be worth the money. The funny thing is that they will sell more than one.
(As for the bag, look at Tod's...)

I'm not kidding, Gucci makes a bicycle:
I am so getting that for Ironman. It even has a bronze metal frame! (Does that mean it's bronze? Or it is bronze-colored metal? For that price point it better be bronze.) I wonder if a Zipp disk and 1080 front would fit on that? That little Gucci pannier - they don't even know to call it a pannier - could hold plenty of gu.
