Thanks for the heads up Anton. I have never seen a Vuelta. Didn't it used to be a spring tour at one time?

the Prologue was awesome last night! I couldn't believe Cancellara's time above the field! It was so cool to see a 5:30ish full on sprint. I'd love to see the power records and speed records for that! Cool field too, it looks like a fun race to watch!

I watched yesterday and today. Great TT yesterday on such a short fast course, and a nice lead out battle with final sprint today. Looking forward to the rest of the tour.

According to the website Vinokourov is back for Astana. Schlecks are there. Basso. Boonen. Farrar. This is going to be good.

Are you guys watching it on universal online or on tv? Any Canadians know where to watch it up here in the great white north?

I'm watching it on US on TV. Yesterday was stunning - it almost looked like a cyclocross with the cobblestones and what not. I found Chris Horner's write up on it somwhere online, and it sounds like it was a crash fest!

Very cool camera work tonight showing the teams battling for sprint position.

Indeed. I thought it was a great fight at the finish. Also note that Horner's doing a really cool job of blogging his racing experiences.

Hey any you guys hear anything about Contador? Apparently he hasn't rode since TDF?

I haven't heard anything about him racing again this year. There have been some soap opera type comments from him about Lance. I don't know if they are self-serving or out of anger at the way he perceived he was treated by Astana, but in any case they are making for a lot of tension and attention going into next year's race season. The rumored teams that I have heard are Case'de'Parne (spelling?) and Garmin (one of the rumors is that Lance freaked out during the Giro because Contador was allegedly negotiating with Garmin while Lance and the rest of the team were protesting the lack of pay). Like I said, soap opera.

Another great sprint last night. What happened to Farrar? He was on fire in August.
