Numbness in my toes

jmcglos- i usually experience some toe-numbness on rides. the way i solve this problem is to wiggle my toes around for about 10seconds whenever numbness begins to set in, stimulates the blood flow. the knee pain may be from saddle height(too high perhaps). my two pennies.

Sounds like your cleat my be turned too much, or you don't have enough float. Have someone at a local bike shop check your setup.

Thanks for the advice - I forgot to mention that I get this numbness while riding both my road and my tri bikes.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem. When I ride, my toes on my left foot go numb after about 5 miles. I started having this problem probably a month ago. I've been putting in long miles on the bike since January for my training so I'm not sure why all of a sudden I'm having this problem. I bought new shoes in February - Nike with carbon sole and they're great. They're definitely not too tight either. I'm thinking maybe I need to adjust the cleats? It wasn't bothering me so much until yesterday - about 25 miles into my ride, the pain went straight up and into my knee. So I was basically doing one-legged drills with my right leg because too much pressure just sent shocking pain up through my left knee. Do you think I'm hitting a nerve where I'm pressing down on the pedals?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
