Hello,
As I am spending more and more time on my bike (10+Kg/ sub 800€ model).
It fits me, there is no problem on the geometry, but I think some elements can definitively be improved.
There are two possibilites:
1) Upgrade it element by element (wheelset, group, saddle, seatpost, pedals ...)
2) Keep it as is and wait until end of August and purchase a much better bike for a little bit more than the price I would have paid for the elements (Campi Centaur is really expensive as a retail item for example)
With the first one I have an heavy frame that fits me, but one cannot turn a soar ear into a silk purse.
The second one, on the other hand, will also provide me with two bikes thus I will have one for training under really bad weather or as a spare in case someting on the better one breaks just before an event.
For those who have been there what was your choice, what would you have or have not done in light of your experience ?

I was in the same boat and I started to upgrade my cheap heavy bike instead of buying a new one but the problem was even though I was getting top of the line components it never made up for the fact that I still wanted to have that really nice frame. To make a long story short in my opinion don't waste any money on your frame now because you will always want the nicer frame. You say you like your fit now so if you decide to get a new bike make sure it fits right being comfertable on the bike is most important. Hope this helps and let us know what you decide it is always nice to see what others ride.
I'd agree with Ryan on this one. I've been upgrading the components side of things over the years and kept the same frame. Eventually I'll buy a new frame and swap out the components, then take the old components I've kept to build up a second bike. My brothers do the same. Usually they'll get a frame from someone and then move all their components over. This way you get everything you want on the bike, that might not be a part of the standard deal.
Currently have a hybrid bike, Marin Larkspur but now kind of rethinking why i bought that one. what is the real difference in performance & comfort in a sprint tri with a road or hybrid? i live in a cold northern climate (canada) pot holes are brutal here in the summer. how durable would a tri or road bike be? any recommendations for a beginner road/tri bike.

80% of the ride is in your frame.
