which is faster?
I have a deep 85mm rear carbon ebay 'cheapie' wheel.

Would my new 404 rear which isnt as deep, and is lighter (200 grams), better bearings, be faster?

There's no way to accurately answer that question with the info you've given. How much better are the bearings? What do wind tunnel numbers say about your two wheels? (Not all deep dish wheels are equally aero).

But I think that the Zipp with an inexpensive wheel cover would be faster than either of your two options in most conditions.

similar wheel to this.

I am guessing that just cause it is deeper dont make it faster. the 404 is 53mm and this cheapie is 85mm
