I have a Specialized Transition E5 Comp and need to get a new stem It currently has a 110mm on it, but it is clearly too long for me. My seat is pretty far forward and I still feel like I could get a better position in relation to being squared over my cockpit. I'm looking at either a 90mm or 100 mm...thoughts/suggestions?

Go to your LBS and tell them exactly what you just wrote. Buy both - or if you're regular, try one out on that night's club ride, then the other length on the next evening's training ride - and return whichever length you don't like. Then if you are really feeling adventurous, try reducing the rise.

Take a picture with you on the bike and settled into your riding position. If your arms are not at 90 degrees to your torso, then you need a shorter stem for sure. Just how much shorter is impossible to tell without seeing your position. If you need to bringing back a lot, get the 90. Are your aerobars not fore/aft adjustable? I can vary my reach quite a bit on mine without messing with my stem.

Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
