So my new aero bars (PD Sonic CSX) are too wide for my aero bottle (craptastic PD). My old ones were the Century with the skinny middle, but these guys are straight back and forth. Anyone got any idea's for a modification or a bottle that fits? I am only doing Oly's so I am just going to carry a regular bottle on the back cage on my frame, but am willing to do some Red Green work if anyone has idea's!

Did you try the PD mounting bracket? That can help if the aerobars are too wide.

There's a mounting bracket?? Okay, searching...yeah that's slick. Gonna check with my not so LBS

IIRC, the installation instructions are nearly useless. However, once it is on, it does eliminate all the rattling you normally get with the bottle. Use both the velcro that comes with the bracket and the normal PD rubber bands to really hold the bottle on nice and tight.

+1 The instructions are useless. I messed up the install of the velcro when I put my mounting bracket on. I ended up using zip ties to attached the mounting bracket to the aero bars.

I have the same bars, and I use that holder and it works great. Something that makes it even better is to use a bit of pipe insulation around the bar under the mount. Eliminates all the noise and allows a really tight fit for the elastic. I will try to take a picture of what I do after it is on my bike this weekend.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

The instructions do suck but there are lots of options to get it working.

I go with the 'winging it' method.

Zip ties, duct tape, whatever it takes! ;-)

I've found that Duct Tape works initially, but then after a bit any leaking water renders the duct tape as usefull as string. Just my two cents, but maybe there is a different method of using the tape, that I am unaware of. Good Luck!

I use my mp3 player arm band. It's an elastic velcro strap and it hold the bottle in tight against the bars- no noise.

How do the rubber bands work? I was trying to figure that out. How do I put them on?

I take the first one and loop it under the bottom of the bottle then take the other end up and over the top of your bars and the top of the bottle and loop it on the opposite side of the opening. Do the opposite with the other rubberband so they crisscross
