One of 5 cyclists in hit and run clinging to life

They were doing everything right from the sound of it - they were in a group, riding in a friggin' bike lane. Tragic.

Hope the charges are stiff. The fact that he took off was gutless to the extreme.

From article: "the distance between the point of the first impact and the patient furthest away was 120 metres."

Sick.

at a loss for words, my heart is with everyone involved. Thanks for the reminder, Jono, we have to keep our heads up, but even then sometimes...

Prayers for everyone involved - well except for the driver - they should put him on a bike and hit him with his own car.

So sad... my thoughts are with them and their families.

I got hit by a truck, got me an ambulance ride and some bike repairs.

The guy plead guilty "with an explanation" to a traffic charge of "turn not in safety" and got a $40 fine. His explanation - at 30km/h I was going "too fast" and he couldn't see me.

I stormed out of the court in frustration. There is no justice for cyclists.

Jacked up. I've had some bumps and some close calls but lucky so far. All my close calls have been with a driver that has a cell phone to their ear.
