The smoother the better?
LHR ---could last forever :)
although I need a touch up on my underarms... not that anyone cares.
Given the amount of body hair I have, I would really think that waxing would kill me!
Shaving would seem to be something you have to do at least weekly and will have stubble in the in-between stages.
Why would you want to shave your legs? Such an overrated practice.

Because you look super sexy! that is if you have nice legs to begin with:)

Because when you do finally come off the bike, and gash your leg, you will a ensure there is no hair in the wound, b) make it easier for the medical people to deal with. c) cut the chance of infections.
Because when in the water without a wetsuit you will move somewhat quicker.
Because when on the bike, ( moving upwards from the legs) if you shave you will cut the risk of having an ingrown hair in your ass or other extemity, which is apparently extremely painful.
Finally, hair smells a lot when you sweat, a hairless body is less pungent when covered in sweat than a sweaty one, which is why most women in Northern Africa and then (moving east) other very hot places, Shave or wax or pluck everything from the forehead down.

/quote]This one is a myth really. Unless you are Michael Phelps you aren't going to move any quicker (it trying to shave off .001 second). Do you honestly think those little hairs on your legs are going to slow you down? You will FEEL faster, but you won't actually BE faster :)
Everything else is on target :)

so Warrior is this to say that you are in favor? Have been really close a couple of times. but am scared that I will be locked into the practice forever. When it grows back will it be thicker than before. If so I will look like a carpet......
To be honest me too, I don't have the torso to be hairless, and as for the legs, well.............. my woman says it will be weird, so I will take her advice until I get some definition going on :-), I think I will use those creams they use with the silk test.

Nair works great if you aren't king kong
If you do use the Nair, do it ouside if you can and wash the hair off with a hose so you dont clog your drain...and stink up your place with the Nair!

For those (male or female) who shave/nair/wax their legs, what is the easiest, most enduring way to remove the hair?
Thanks.
