I am signed-up for the Savage Man International Tri. It's on Sept 20th in Deep Creek Lake, MD. I read that the water is supposed to be about 66-70 degrees. It is a .9 mile swim. What thickness do you recommend? What style- sleeveless or long sleeve? Should I buy or rent? Brand? Exterra always sends emails regarding decent sales. Thank you.

XTerra has some great suits. But different brands fit a bit differently, so the best way to find one for you is to go try on a bunch and see what works for you. I wear my long sleeve suit basically any time that wetsuits are legal. I believe most tri suits are about the same thickness.

I picked up a full sleeve XTERRA Vector Pro 2 and was thoroughly pleased. It should work well for those temps - I think water temp at the last race I did was around 72... and I was plenty warm, and could've been in colder water.
