Just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I am a long-time runner and due to constant aches (self-induced) needed something to keep me fit but still involving running.

Mainly ran 5k's, I am a converted sprinter (400m).

Joined a Master's swim class over a month ago and have been loving it. Purchased my bike over a month ago and am loving that as well.

I have three sprint tri's slated for the upcoming months and can't wait. The first one is May 15th and is a super-sprint, ought to break me in.

That's awesome! Congrats on "tri"ing:) Like you, I started out a runner and decided that I wanted a new challenge. Good luck and keep us posted on your training and results:)

Already OCD! Running made me that way. The beauty of it is my wife is training with me. Not so much now that she is pregnant!

I have been doing doubles three days a week for the past month and am loving it.
M-Long Run 10-15 miles
Tu-Bike am 10-15, Swim pm 1500-2800yd(so far)
W-Run usually tempo 5-8 miles
Th-Bike am 10-15, Swim pm 1500-2800yd
F-Run usually relaxed 6-8 miles
Sa-Bike 20-30 miles brick to Run 3-4 miles
Su-Off

Have been loving it. No aches or pains at all and can't wait to race.

Thanks for joining us. Good to hear a little change in your training (adding swimming and biking) has relieved some of the aches. The cross training definitely helps keep things balanced. good luck with your upcoming races.

*grin* I started tri's as motivation to cross train as well, also as a runner that was stressing out joints and such too much. Welcome to the new addiction!
