Greetings

I am shopping for heart rate monitors and am wondering if it is best to go with 2 different systems, one for the bike w/maybe a power tap wheel unit/data display/chest band and a more simple timex watch style/chest band for running?

As for swimming, I do Masters and the coach lady keeps me moving or ridicules you to leave the pool so that isn't an issue.

Can some folks suggest some thoughts, and choices in gear of what is simple, but works great?

BTW, $$$ not really an issue and yes I have a P.C. in case I need software support applications to download the data.

Thanks in advance.

I don't have the power reading on my bike, but I do have the Polar RS200, which works great - appears they have some that our much better now (I was mostly running then) and I have a cheap add-on for the bike that does cadence/RPM, but no power meter.

Is anyone aware of a watch that can be used on the run and bike that offers run speed/distance and bike power/cadence/rpm?

If you're looking to read power at some point there's really only one option in the market today - the Garmin 310XT. Sure, you can pickup the 705, but you won't be taking that on the run.

Personally I have the 705 for the bike and currently use the 305 for the run. I love the 705 and it holds TONS of data and is much easier to work with larger files than the 305.
