Bike matinence
Generally you should keep your bike clean. I usually wipe mine down with some motorcycle spray cleaner and a soft rag every few rides.
Get a cassette brush and keep your cassette clean. I usually clean mine when I wipe the bike down.
Check your tires regularly (not sure this goes without saying) and make sure you keep them at optimum pressure. Check the spokes every month at least for looseness along with all other fasteners.
As far as lube goes, I'd buy some chain lube recommended by your LBS as it won't gum up and clog up your cassette and gum up your chain. Wipe the chain down if it gets any dirt on it and then put the chain lube on with a soft cloth.
For routine stuff, that's about all I can think of. If the bike is aluminum, you'll need to lube the seat post every so often, if its CF then you can get some stuff at the LBS for that.
Hope this helps.
Just keep spinning....spinning, spinning....uh, do I know you?

About 6 weeks after buying my first bike, I took it in to see what size tube to get so I could repair my flat tire. That's when they told me that I couldn't go 6 weeks without putting air in the tire. I had no idea. One of the funny wrenches commented on how soft my ride must of felt. Compare to what, my car? Not even close. Hard to compare when I never rode anything with more than 40 pounds of pressure before. Yes, I'm still bitter at his comment.
For lube, I really like T9 Boshield and I do not use any lubes or cleaners that are not recommended for bikes (except the T9). Be careful with other products that might have solvents that might not be good for your bike.
Pedros makes a nice line of bike cleaning products and lubes (still like T9 the best). Check that all cables, nuts, screws, etc are appropriately tight (not as tight as you can get them) and I apply a light coating of grease on the threads of most things (check park tools web site for the final word).
Make sure that your air pressure is goods, replace your cables and houseing at about 1500-2500 miles depending on how picky you are. Chains get replaced about every 3000 miles (or more accuratly when your chain stretch is outside of allowable limits (look it up on park tools page). Tires should be changed before you can see the Kevlar belting in them, and anything that rattles, squeaks or is otherwise running roughly should be looked into. :) That's my run down.
Park Tool's website is a good repository of what tools you'll need: http://www.parktool.com/repair/tool_list.asp

I recently bought a P2C by Cervelo and was wondering what type of routine matinence should I be doing on it? Brands of cleaners oil/grease should I use for best performance and overall upkeep?
