"support" for the "girls"

I'm a D-cup and am struggling to find a tri top that offers enough support. The only option I've found is to wear two very supportive sports bras covered by a tight tri tank. The only issue I struggle with is during the swim...I'm not sure how or what to wear. I guess I could wear both sports bras during the swim and throw the tank on before the bike. However, when I've tried my open water swims in tri shorts and a sports bra(s), I can feel the water pooling and pulling in the front of the bra which in turns is slowing me down. The other thing is that I really only need the second sports bra for the run. I hate to wear two during the entire event. Any suggestions?...

There was a girl on my swim team that wore two suits for just that reason, so maybe try bathing suits instead of sports bras? You could try modifying them so it's just the top of a one peice bathing suit. Good Luck.

Well do you plan to wear a wet suit? If so, its a moot point, just wear the jog bra and tri top. I have a couple of sugoi tops that have a built in bra and are high enough on your neck and tight enough I can wear a bra under the built in. That would work for you if you don't plan to wear the wet suit.

You shouldn't have to wear two sports bras. Have you checked out Title IX? They list their bras by barbells - The Last Resort Bra

I'm a B cup, so I can't speak to this - but maybe check it out?

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

Enell aka Last Resort Bra is great for larger cup women but I wouldn't recommend it for triathlon, it's seriously like wearing a straightjacket. I'd suggest Moving Comfort, they are THE women's sports bra and offer cup sizes up to E.

When I was a DD (ah, those nursing days when the boob fairy came to visit), I wore a good sports bra under a high-necked tri top with a built-in shelf bra. That seemed to do the trick. I second Kat's suggestion for Moving Comfort, they make great stuff. Title 9 Sports 3+ barbell category has a great selection of bras for motion control.

Donna Karen makes a great sports bra. Its not very "sporty" but it does the job. It's an underwire, but the wire is on the outside of the bra, so it's actually pretty comfortable and controls the bounce during runs pretty well. I haven't swam in it yet, but it's the only thing I run in.
