women's trisuit question
I use Orca and Danskin. Got one of amazon and the other of Ebay.
They both fit very snug (they're not supposed to be overly tight I think), but nothing uncomfortable. The Orca has the advantage of a built in bra which I find very usefull. The Orca also fits quite well around the thighs (if you got big thigh's like me I'd probably go for that one)
The Danskin is really good, very comfortable. It's quite cheap as well so you could always buy one, I think around 30 dollars which is not bad, even if it doesn't fit you can put it up for sale on Ebay.
That's just my two cents.
The nice thing about a two-piece (in addition to bathroom ease) is that you can find the top and bottom that fit you the best. I use the same bras I use for running for some races in two-piece outfits. And sometimes my trifuel jersey :)
They should be pretty tight, but I don't like the sausage leg feeling of the elastic being so tight. I have 2XU shorts that I like, as well as Pearl Izumi ones that are great for longer races. And Zoot ones I also really like... Basically any pair of trishorts works. So find ones you like for training, and you can wear them for racing and training.
For the top, again, just try on a ton and find what you like. I love the top of my Zoot trisuit, as well as my Sugoi top (with my tri-club's info on it). They are the only ones that I can wear without a separate bra under them. But for that reason, I often just look for tops without a built in sports bra, and then wear a bra I know I like with the top.
Some online places make it pretty easy to do returns, so you might want to just order a couple and try them that way and return. Just read the return policies of the shop first!

I bought a one piece (Louis Garneau) and a two piece (De Soto). I wore the one piece today for the first time riding 90 miles as I had the most concern with that one (bathroom issues) and it zips up the back. I stopped once at mile 46 and it took me 1 min and 10 sec to go to the bathroom. 10 seconds slower than when I wore my two piece cycling kit last week. However, what made me choose the 1 piece to begin with was the fit. It felt like I had nothing on at all!! Fit like a glove. Definitely fitted but not tight. It looks like a second layer of skin. The material very light weight and extremely comfortable. However, I tried the exact same outfit on in a two piece and it didn't fit as well. The top was too tight across the chest and the band around the leg of the shorts was too tight but the next size up was too large, which is why I bought the one piece. So far, I have no complaints and I will sacrifice the 10 seconds for comfort. However I didn't get a chance to run in it as I am currently nursing a running injury.
I will try the two piece next week. It felt good on so we will see... but its not my favorite color:)
Both are not cheap ($150 for the LG one piece and $108 for the two piece)
i went into a sports store today - and they suggested Craft. never even heard of it...
The woman told me that the "jiggly" problem was common and the tops just aren't designed to properly support more than and A/B if you want full no jiggle support...
so they suggested a little zoot top that was for wearing alone but many wear under a full top....
What about doubling your sports bra under the built in bra? Not ideal but may make it more comfortable. I have an orca two piece and wore a one piece last year, way prefer the two piece. It gives me more options for training, bathroom huge bonus (plus I always forget my hrm strap, so I just sling that on without looking like I am stripping), plus less chafing from the zipper.
You can check out sierratradingpost.com. They have some tri and cycling things on there. Many times they have some really cheap prices. I know I have seen some Craft on there. Zoot is on there. They also have reviews that people put up and will tell you how things fit. I bought my wetsuit on there. The Zoot shorts - I have two pairs - one is a med. (makes me look really "thick") and a large which fits much more comfortable. There stuff seems to run small based on my shorts but I have a med. tri suit that fits fine. Who knows!

well i just ordered a two piece from speedo...
i am a speedo girl.. any way. so i figured the tri suit might be comfortable..
i am hoping the top is very tight.. i really don't want to have to wear additional support.. i get very uncomfortable very easily with things like that...
i hate being hot and extra clothes..
so lets see what happens when it comes..
I've tried a couple different options. I love Tyr for swimsuits. I've always been a speedo girl, but now its def TYR all the way! The cut is perfect! Love my desota and my tyr tri shorts. For one piece, I just bought a Louis Garneau Shark Suit. It fits like a glove, so thin its like I'm not wearing anything at all!

I saw the other post about tri suits but i need some more help.
This will be my first tri suit purchase...
i have tried on a one piece from 2XU and the legs were to big and the top too gapping at the sides of the breasts..
i tried on a zoot two piece and the top was not so bad but didn't stop the jiggle when i jumped up and down... the shorts were laughable.... the band at the lower leg squeezed too tight and the fabric didn't have enough elasticity/pull/not sure what and my legs puffed out like marshmallows.
i think i may want a 2 piece overall for the ease if i need to go to the bathroom... and i really don't want to have to wear a separate sports bra....
any body have suggestions? are the suits supposed to be tight tight? or just like a normal pair of cycling shorts tight? I am in NYC but finding my options to go try on limited....
