Anyone have any feedback on the Empire? I am a huge fan of Asics shoes, but recently swotch to Brooks, because I have really narrow feet. Does anyone know if this shoe comes in narrow widths...I am not very happy with my Adrenalines...Thanks for the help!

Asics 2100.
I am mild pronator and very light (who said skinny) with 60kg for 1m72.
Running in average 15km per session 4 times a week on asphalt no problem a really cool model :)

I ran in Asics 2080, 2090 for a few yrs, thought they are great. Bought the Empire because I needed a new shoe and couldn't get the 2100. It really exacerbated my iliotibial pain BADLY, so they are now bookends. Found some 2100's, bought a few pair. Love them! I have a bit of a narrow foot too, these shoes really work well for me.

Don't fall into the trap of someone telling you "I love this shoe, it's the best"...it may be true for them and WRONG for you.

Different people, different biomechanics, different foot shape, improperly fitted or sized...any can separate the right from the wrong.

Visit your local running store, a physical therapist, a physiologist, ortho, or pediatrist for them to evaluate your needs (arch type, pronation/supenation, biomechanics of the hips/knees/ankles, etc.)

The Empire was designed by Asics to address the late stage or forefoot pronator who is a heel to midfoot striker, and has a fairly wide toebox. If you are neutral to slight supenator this shoe will most likely make you feel forced to the outside of your foot. If you are a late stage pronator and NOT a midfoot to forefoot striker you might like the shoe.

Check with the professionals above to see if it is right for you.

LISTEN TO TUCKIEMAN !!

Get to a local running store and have them review your biometrics, (basically how your foot hits the ground)
**I know, I know - but you will be suprised when they show you the video**

They will then suggest a shoe that matches and supports your specific biometrics
(and alot of shoe websites will also show you shoes that support the various biometric issues)

Not sure how far you are from Pittsburgh, but here is the fleet feet link for that location

Good luck..
