I had a 24 hour race this weekend and it went better than I could have imagined. My goal was to complete 10 laps that would give me 80 miles of racing. After the 6th lap I was super consistent with my times and was actually getting a little faster with each one, very cool. Lap #9 I got to chase a friend and it was such a great lap I considered myself done. We weren't going to make the podium, so I figured #10 would be a "cool down" for fun.

I had 90 minutes before I went out for the last one, I downed 3 beers (5.8%) donuts and chips, clearly I fell off the wagon. My goal now was to not yak on the course. I got out there and felt so awesome and just hammered the whole way and clocked my fastest split of the whole day!!! Holy Cow!

Lesson learned: the body will go, you just need to disconnect the brain :)
