Well I missed yesterday with mild sunstroke, 18 nine year olds running around a 2 bed appt. A huge thunderstorm, first time back in open water in over a year and it wasn't a satisfactory experience.......
Today 1 point add that to my glorious 5 .......= 6. I am just ignoring the folk who do my total in a day or even a half a day....

I have issues :-) and it has become a daily routine. I usually do 500 regular and twisting crunches on the exercise ball and then mix up the next 500 with bicycles, alternating 6 inches, trunk twists, leg-ups, sided crunches, lower back raises, etc.

almost to 30!! though i must say its only been a week (ish) and i already can feel and notice a difference. does anyone have any good ones to do on the ball? i've been doing regular and twisting crunches.. yesterday i tried to hold my plank on it but that didn't go so well. i feel like i need to mix it up but i'm running out of ideas- how do you do those reverse roman chair leg things? they sound intriguing but kind of scary like they will kick my butt.
wow i just realized like an idiot that i've giving myself 1 point for 1 min of planks when it should have been a half a point... so i guess i need to subtract like 4 points which will bring my total back to 24 points. i am a total doofus.

I can really notice a difference in performance now that I have been consistent with core for an extended period. I had great results racing last weekend and today I was hitting 800 repeat times on the track that I haven't seen in 2 years. I hope you all are starting to see some motivating results as well. Keep it up.

Hmmm Maybe that is too much information. Thanks again for the challenge. Seriously I notice myself standing taller and sitting straighter in my day to day. It's motivated me to take on an upper body strength training as well. ;-)

I can only claim one point for yesterday, An Iron man competitor and fitness coach arrived ...as I was doing my work out she stopped me, taught how to do them without damaging myself , and suggested other excercises that are much more difficult.....
Today I am sure I can back to 2.5 points.... for the moment, I got 14.5 I think.

Hey gfd thanks for the energy remark, some people don't get my humour or want it.
so I got 3 points for today for sure.......but.............Does stretches count? I got stretched out for a total of 10 mins a side......I know that's a lot of minutes, but when you have Iron Man Trainer sitting on your thigh and forcing your knee into your mouth it feels like it counts................please advise.
On awaiting advice I am now on 17.5 points wooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo, ( or 37.5 but I won't push my luck.)

Round 4
Core through the race season and summer should be a challenge. As always, everyone is welcome to participate as much as or as little as you would like.
Rules:
1. 100 reps = 1 point.
2. 1 minute of timed exercises(planks etc.) = 50 reps.
3. Core specific exercises only. Abs, obliques, lower back.
4. Begin May 26 and End July 14 (The 14th counts for total pts).
5. You are NOT out if you miss a day, but the goal is to work the core for 50 straight days.
6. On this thread, we can post our daily or weekly totals and share routines/results. etc.
7. The picture page can be used for those interested in before and after pics.
8. Pushups should be counted separately and should remain in their own category.
50 pushups = 1 point.
9. Determine the added worth of certain exercises and give yourself the extra points.
Ex. Reverse roman chair leg raises might be worth double. So 50 = 1 point.
This is not a competition, it is for personal improvement, so this won't be a problem.
