Hi I would like to know how much you guys pay for online coaching and what you get in return.

Thanks

Daniel

They all seem to be pretty pricey. I do not do it for that reason but if i did i think the mark allen website has them for 19/week or 29/week depending on what phase you are in. You must commit to a certain length of program.

Someone I know used Mark Allen Online a few years ago. Last year he qualified for Kona for the first time, and this year he is using Mark Allen again. It says a lot to me that he's obviously pretty good, but still thinks their services can help him improve even more. Wish I knew more details to give you. I'm sure their websites can tell you cost and "what you get in return" before you sign up.

I have visited sites ranging from 330 montly to 14.95 to a 2 month plan. Would you consider if it was 50?

I am currently using Endurance Nation and have been for the past 2.5 months. I will continue with them through the summer. The fee is $79 per month and the big thing for me is the detailed training plans, not just run 30 min, and bike 40 mins. But down to the type of splits that i need to do.

Way to much on my plate for me to learn all the ins and outs and try to find what does and does not work. I will say that my 5k time has improved by 30 secs. per mile and that my bike is stronger now. Will that translate to improved racing times. We will see this fall when I run the SC HIM.

The other big advantage that EN offers is the forum where there are 200-300 other people using the plans. So if you need to modify the plan because of personal things occurring they are there to help.

The drawback to their system is that the plans are pretty much cookie cutter so without the forums they would be useless to me.

Hey guys:

I am the owner of Kinetic Loop Training System coaching company. I understand you desire to grow in the sport. A coach is the person who helps you achieve your goals and enables you to see the athlete that sometimes we don't see in ourselves. I believe the best coaching is when there is interaction between the athlete and coach. I could make thousands of dollars throwing out cookie cutter plans, but the bottom line is they don't work. A coach must perform an assessment to find your strengths and weakness and then build a training based on your goals, strengths, and weakness. The importance of having a coach is the feedback between the athlete and coach. Depending on the program my athletes will provide either daily, or weekly feedback. Our company we do month to month contracts. So your are not stuck with a year contract when the unexpected happens. You might find a coach that charges 30 dollars a month, but most of these coaches are going to give you a cookie cutter program that was used on another athlete. If you are looking for a coach the best thing to do interview the coach. Ask about their background (educational, sports background, and experience as a coach). Remember you are interviewing him/her to see if they are a good fit for you. Best of luck.
