Make your casual wardrobe more aero

I just think this is funny. Thought you guys might appreciate it. Sad part is it's not at all bad looking.

Help yourself to a serving of retro style with Zipp Speed Weaponry’s Cotton Sweater. You worship Zipp wheels—now show your love by sporting the Zipp logo when you’re not on your bike. Zipp gave this sweater a striped ribbed trim and a slim, athletic fit to keep you looking sharp anywhere from a bike-auction fundraiser to a dinner date with that cute tri-athlete.

Bottom Line: Look Zippy.
The front of the sweater retails for $924 and the rear for $1,200.

That's without the powertap,right?

Well done. And btw, there's no such think as a retro cotton sweater. Obviously some designer and copywriter who know nothing about cycling think cotton is retro. Jerseys were originally made of wool, and not the worsted kind, but the itchy kind. And chamois were once made of real leather. Think about that: Wool and leather, what a smell.

When I started riding (1972) My first jersey was a black Marino Wool jersey, Italian from Detto Pietro if memory serves. Very comfortable and not itchy at all. It was light and wasn't bad on even a hot day...But you got the smell part right! I still wish they made leather chamois....

Wool not cotton. Reminds me of my first tri. 1982 I was a roadie and jumped into a modified Olympic distance on a dare. 100 degrees, did the swim in my wool shorts with leather chamois no goggles, rode the bike with the wet chamois and ran the 10k in hot smelly wool shorts. I'm pretty sure some guy named Dave Scott won it wearing a speedo. I didn't run another untill 2006. Triathlon fashion has come a long way.

Is it sad or obsessive that I might actually wear something like this?

I heard that there was a company looking to make cycling clothing that was easier to wear in normal society. Their target markets are bike commuters and people who have ditched their car in favor of their bike.

1. There are no dimples! What is this, 2006?

2. It only says "Zipp" on it once, it needs at least 5 more logos on the front and 6 on the back to even be considered aero.

That is so awesome. And all these whipper-snappers in their lycra/spandex tri suits with quick dry synthetic chamois . . . Bah! It was better back then.
