Don't know if Marshalls is a chain store that is outside of New England but I swung in there today for some shopping and stumbled upon a display of Zoot shoes. Got a pair of Ultra Tempo + for 29.99. They also are carrying the Kswiss natural runners for like 24.99. I am in no way affiliated with these guys but was pretty pumped at a deal like that. Figured I would pass it on. From what I see online these go for 129.00 so I am to say the least PUMPED. Plus I want to try the no sock thing at my next tri.

Marhsalls is a chain store across the US! Thanks for letting us know. When is your next tri and what distance? I am curious to hear how the no sock thing works...and if the shoes have enough cushion for longer runs (half marathon or longer).

I heard someone say that TJ Max had them for $30 too.

Yea I know that TJ MAX owns Marshalls, and both stores always have some decent running clothes. My next tri is another sprint In Hyannis,Ma. So I will do some runs in the zoots before that and then if all works out use them for the race. And If I like them then I told my fiance she is going to have to throw away some stuff in her closet so I can go buy a few pairs and start storing my shoes in her closet. I she has not yet replied.

Being a female, don't expect a response from your fiance....at least one you want to hear! One thing I miss about the east coast, especially Mass....is Dunkin Donuts! None out here in the lovely land of LA but that's another topic for another forum!

that's strange and cool!

i wonder if this is around the country or just in your area? if i'm not mistaken, the inventory they get is discontinued or from stores going out of business. with that said, i don't think this is the norm, high end Zoot and K-Swiss tri gear at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. i don't think this is the normal distribution chain both those companies have in place or expected to deal their wares.

yesterday i got an REI catalog and i see that they are now carrying the zoot footwear line of running shoes, something new for them and of course at MSRP prices.

Great news! I never looked for running stuff there. I do get Polo pretty cheap though.

Just keep spinning....spinning, spinning....uh, do I know you?

I have gotten Polo at TJ's for half off before, which is nice. I may have to hear there tomorrow

Sockless sounds interesting - save some time in T1 - do many people race like this ??

jk

______
Why? Many people have asked me... to test my limits ... and to push beyond them.

YES, sprint and olympic distance races for sure, time saver... would recommend using blister shield in your shoes when racing sockless as well as training that way too to get use to it.
