The MS 150 is charitable 2-day bike ride, not a race. I rode it two years ago and decided to ride it again this year in prep for IMS. My friend and I had a blast, and had some good speed going...which led to my first and only crash in eight years of riding. You can read the details and see the gory pix here: http://star.trifuel.net/.

If you have a chance to ride it where you are, it's very well organized with great SAG stops and volunteers. There are usually different ride options: 100M, 75M and 50M each day. Good training and lots of fun...

Ugh. So glad you are okay. But, is the bike??? In any event, good on ya' for getting back in the saddle and finishing the ride.

After I realized I was alive, I asked how my Black Mamba was :) She has a few scrapes on the handle bars, but overall pretty good considering. She's going to the doc tonight...

Glad you are ok.

I like MS150 rides and doing another one this year in Illinois with a bunch of friends.

It seems strange that we take pictures of ourselves after a crash to share. When I see a post about a crash, I always think "I hope they can still train, and I wonder what the pics of the wounds look like."

Now that you have your crash out of the way, keep the tires on the ground for another 8+ years.

Thanks, guys! My new motto is: "That which doesn't kill me makes me stronger." It could have been much worse, so I'll be happy with what I got. And not only do I have pix to share, but several scars to show off for years to come ;)
