Tapering for a race this weekend. Also needed this week as an easy week so I can up my distances and times a little next week. This will be the first race of the season for me and it is only a sprint so I am using it more for training than for results. Still once you hit the water the competitive juices start flowing and you know you are going to go hard!

I also did an easy 30 minute run in the park - the weather here has been beautiful. Getting ready for a race this weekend as well - it's a duathlon and my first this season, and like Kevo, I'm doing it more for training and fun than for time.

Had to shift the schedule this weekend, so my long run ended up being Mon. Not bad though, weather was nice did 12mi. Allentown Half-marathon next weekend should be a hoot!

Hey DSmith & RunningGuy-
Yes, I'm doing the Lake Lanier Duathlon on Sunday. I did it last year and it was a lot of fun - the bike part was hilly though  Also got some kids doing the kids biathlon - a first for all of them - nothing like starting the lifestyle early.
Are you guys running AG? My friend and I usually just start out in the back.........

AG - age group. I can't remember how they ran it last year (I"m pretty slow today too - it's Monday) - anyway, I think they did waves by age groups. Last year we stayed to the back and just enjoyed the race. I think we finished in just under 2 hours (talk about slow!). It was my first multisport race and I really need to work on my transition time.....

I have not decided if I am going to do it yet. My training plan has me riding 50 miles then running for 30 minutes on Sat. There are some nice rolling hills in the area that will be fun. If I do compete it will be in AG.
Hi guys,
been away from tri training for a couple of weeks - end of basketball season tournament.
nice day today: sunny, light winds, dry, 13 degrees Celsius.
hilly 20km bike ride over my new training loop. 50:17

Well, the team finished fifth out of eight, but I averaged 20 pts and 10 rebs for the 3 games.
I was playing centre, at 6'3" and in the 3rd game my opposing ctr was 6'11" - I only scored 16 in that game, had to go outside on him; we won't talk about defense. :)
good to be back. After 9 days my legs have almost recovered from the abuse that BB delivers. I give up this silly game every year swearing to be only a triathlete.

Pollen's bad here too guys - it was up somewhere around 4,000 the other day  It was rough running on those days - I felt terrible. Luckily we had a pretty good t-storm last night, which made today's run a pleasure.............

We've talked about checking it out. I'm pretty sure it ends up in Alpharetta, GA - I have to look into it - that's not too far from where I live.
