I entered a relatively lengthy post over on my SBR blog. I'm just starting to post to it and thought I'd see is works for the tri-personal-achievement type entries. I'd like to share with Trifuel though - this site is responsible for a good deal of my progress!

Enjoy:

Wow, inspirational! Thanks for sharing that! It's nice when you have those workouts - they are what get you through the tough parts of races too. Way to go!

So happy for you! Can't imagine living with that kind of pain for so long, let alone training with it. Inspirational.

how amazing for you- a great blog...I have several friends with back issues, which have basically stopped their triathloning- and it makes me so sad for them. I wish that kind of breakthrough for them :)

At first from the title i was a little confused, how can you run after those noises and bonking, but it made sense after i read your thread.
That is great!
Hope you will only keep improving from here, and keep doing the core thread, i know it helps.

Like you said "WooHoo!" That is great to hear! Although the "squish" kind of gives me the "ewwws" - But I'm happy to hear that it all worked out!

i've had surgery for a ruptured disc and back pain is not fun. it's remarkable what a fundamental role the back plays in all our daily tasks

glad to hear your back is coming round!

Sounds like somebody hacked the speed governor out from your firmware.

Awesome story. Hope all is well for you in the future.

I would however get it checked again by a Physical Therapist. Its seems as though the twist step released something in you back column which is great, but moves like that can also shift other things that shouldn't be shifted. I'd have it checked just as a precaution, especially now that you're going to be running harder and more often.

Thanks everyone! The update:

TriJicon: you're right on - I can feel the various different muscle groups all responding differently the stress of training. In fact, from my run the other night, I aggravated the piriformus on my left side (I can almost say I ran my *** off!) and I've really focused on stretching it since. I do plan some follow-up appts to check in on this.

But everything feels so much better. Even my swimming has been changed - I guess it has made for a more fluid turn to breath, because I'm suddenly swimming longer and faster without getting as out of breath.

This week was scheduled as a strength week, but because of all of this, I've tuned it down a little bit. I will take it a little easier until the system adjusts to this, but it is just amazing - its given me an amazing amount of hope of overcoming some hurdles that have been confusing me.
