Tubular or Clincher
You have clinchers.
As they have improved a lot in the recent years, I think more folks are choosing them based on their ease. You can run a higher PSI in most tubulars, but for most folks, I'm not sure it's worth the trouble with the glue, etc.

i just tried that tape for tubular tires ... its not bad ... i am still building confidence using them but i am not sure i would rocket down a mountain just yet ... i think id still prefer glue. but i think the tape is good for flat riding or not to aggressive corners

Did a hard 25 miler on the Tubulars, it was a pre-race course evaluation of next weeks International Duo. The course has one extremely steep downhill, and I pushed the wheels pretty hard in the all of the corners. At the bottom, I stopped and checked the wheels, and didn't see any problems.
I carried a spare tire, and tape. Don't know if I'll carry the tire and tape during a race, I have the tubulars loaded with the Sealant as TUFO suggests. Guess I'll just give it a whirl and see what happens.
The tubulars worked just fine, the only problem I still have is, I'm afraid to get on the brakes really hard with the Carbon wheels. At the rate I'm going through brake pads, I'll go through 3 or 4 sets this racing season.
Guess that's the price of owning those fancy wheels....

For the longest time, I thought I had tubular tires on my bike until I read in the latest issue of Triathlete that I probably have Clinchers. The tires seem to hook on the inside of the rim and there is no glue involved. Could someone please tell me what I have. Also, which is better/faster. Thanks.
