Hydroxycut banned again.
Before the ban, 5-6 years ago, I was using Both Hydroxycut and Xenadrine. They worked well for me. I took half the dosage they prescribed. I made sure to take them in cycles, like every other month, because like any other drug, your body builds a tolerance. I did a lot of weight training and running back then and I hadn't started tris yet. The stuff gave me a lot of energy, like I was on uppers or something. The stuff made me pretty lean, but it prevented my muscles from getting big. Ever since the ban, I quit using. I tried some post-ban Xenadrine a couple years back, but never worked like the pre-ban. I've managed to gain about 20 lbs in the last 5 years...I'm blaming my diet on this. If they were to make something similar to the pre-ban stuff, I would probably give it a try. When you see people who develop problems from these products, alot of times they are using more than the dosage. For myself, I used the stuff for a number of years and never developed any problems.
A study published a while back (forget which journal) documented that most weight loss products ingested orally only burn 60 calories per dose. And bottles of these products are quite expensive.
how else are weight loss products ingested...?

how else are weight loss products ingested...?
Is that a trick question? I've found the best weight loss products are things *not* ingested ;)

Interesting/ironic that as I am reading this, the banner ad to the left states, "I lost 25 pounds with no diet or exercise..."

Google ads are great. I bet if we keep talking about Hammer products, we'll get Ace hardware ads up there. :)

Nice play on words! How true!!

GoogleAd: "I went from this... ...to this in 4 weeks."
Is it just me, or does the before look like a man and the after look like a woman?

This stuff was pulled off the market several years ago because it had ephedra now it's being pulled because it causes liver damage (and because it killed a 19 year old kid). You know what they say "if it sounds too good to be true..." So I guess all the people using this product are going to have to go back to the "move more, eat less" diet plan, which is the only one that really seems to work in the long run.
I know that as triathletes weight is often an issue. I've been trying to drop the last 10 lbs for about a year now. To be very honest I even considered using hydroxycut at one point but never actually did. I have a strong mistrust for weight loss products (obviously with good reason).
It seems like everybody wants the easy way out. Hydroxycut is the American way. It's sad really. No one thinks they should have to work for anything anymore. We want it all, we want it easy and we think it should be free (insert comment about current president here).
Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has used any hydroxycut like products for weight loss?
