Anyone using Zoot running shoes? It's time for a new pair and the new Zoot's look pretty cool, but I can't seem to find a review on them anywhere.

I have a pair of the Ultra Race from last year and really like them. 'For me' they are very comfortable and fit my foot great. I love the support in the arch and down into the toes because of the carbon footbed. The seamless liner on them has never given me a problem with blisters and the built in yanks work great. Id recommend them to anyone but would advise trying them on and seeing if you can get a run around the block from the store to see if theyre for you.

Thanks for the note. I plan on stopping by the running store on my way to a run today, hopefully they have some on hand.. they do look pretty comfortable.

I was just getting on to ask this same question. Skunkworxz if you get a chance can you give your opinion about the shoes.

I was also looking at the biom's. Read an article about them the other day and they seem to be pretty good also. Any opinions?

I just picked up a pair of Zoot Energy's. Very comfortable, very light, and super easy to put on. I did a quick ~6 mile run during lunch in them and they felt great.

I'm a pretty neutral / mid strike runner so I didn't need the added support of the Advantage. I recommend at least trying them out. I also tried out a few Brooks/Mizuno/Asics and the Zoots felt better than any of them.

They have been meat grinders for me for any race over a 5K. Something about the arches causes me to blister severely. I am going to try body glide on my feet this year to see if that helps.

I used a pair of the ultra-race in an olympic tri last year. By the time I crossed the line I had a very painful bruise on the outside of each foot. This was largely my fault though, as I bought the shoes the day before the race and had never ran in them before. Just one data point though. This year I'm just going to stick with my training shoes (Asics Kayano), and get them set up with some quick laces.

Well, turns out the Zoot Energy shoes are not so great. They get 5 stars for comfort (for me anyhow) and -1 star for durability. They basically fell apart, so I returned them today.
