Hair and the lack of it
I'm with Andy Potts on this, who was recently quoted as saying this activity is a complete waste of time. And he's pretty fast.
Classic razor. Every other day or I look like a chiapet.

3 blade razor
my head gets it twice a week, more if there's any kind of social function requiring personal upkeep...the beard's going to get it soon when the days get a little warmer and longer
other parts are free to grow as they please

Hooray for Andy 'Hairball' Potts! I like him even more ;-)
'Nothing to it, but to do it!'
Laser to the back. I am jealous.

Laser--now its all gone (in the places I had it done)
...and it's not a waste of time I have never known a man to like a "wookie" girl. Not that there aren't any, but I like to be groomed.
Til the laser thing, it is Nair on the back maybe once a month.
the girlfriend hates hair...first the beard trimmer gets the longer hair and then the classic mach 3 razor...head stays buzzed at a 2 length only b/c I have a weird shaped head and wouldn't look good totally bald...
waxing; the legs have gotten used to the pulling, the bikini still hurts like a &^%$#$#
+1 and lol on the "wookie" comment, Britt

It's not about going fast, it's about looking fast.

It's not about going fast, it's about looking fast.
Potts just lost to Reed by 2 sec. In a non-wetsuit swim, you can gain those easy with a shave. Probably gain a couple secs on the bike too.
Apparently, he's not fast enough.
For me, the legs get shaved 2x per week, and always the day before a race, be it a swim, bike or tri. Arms come race time too. I'm blessed with pretty good genes when it comes to hair. 26 and still nothing on the chest.
No, it's about not shedding more than the cat.
Triple bladed razor,edge gel.
Shouldn't this have been posted over on "Questions for the Trifuel Women" ;) just to keep that thread alive and kicking?

I shave on and off. but the day before the race I shave off just to feel it better.
hahaha. if I wasn't going slow enough to feel it.
hahahahaha

I sport a ponytail...hair on your head won't slow you down. Might cause you to overheat, but so far I have not had that problem.
Hair on your body, legs in particular...cyclists shave their legs because roadrash is easier to clean when the skin that has been stripped by the asphalt is hair free. Swimmers shave their bodies mostly to expose a new layer of skin that supposedly helps them feel the water better. That latter might have been debunked with the introduction of speed suits.
My wife does not care for my ponytail, but every two years I make a donation to Locks of Love. That makes it worth it for me.
Dang guys you just reminded me to get the appointment with the cosmotologist or whatever she is called to get the back waxed and chest touched up.
Wife prefers some hair on the chest but she dislike Chubaka at the pool so I have to stay trimmed. Legs, Arms etc. don't get any treatment yet. But I am still not that fast. One less Mountain Dew a week will increase my speed more.
never shaved anything except the face. would probably shave it all if 2 seconds would earn me $25,000. Looks like I'll be racin' hairy for a while.
+1 for not going fast but looking fast. Shave the legs and chest because I cant stand wearing spandex and having hairy legs and dont have lots of chest hair so might as well just shave it.
Gillette Fusion with conditioner is the best.
+2 for looking fast. And +1 on the road rash thing. I fall down.....a lot.
Wifey hates my shaved legs when we are....um, you know. Might go to only shaving just above the cycling shorts leg length to appease her.

Ok, no secret that many many triathletes, me and woman alike do that hair removal thing. My question is what method do you all use and how often do you have to do this to keep from turning into a high speed cactus.
The classic razor?
Wax?
Chemicals (yikes)?
lasers (how ridiculously geeky is that)?
