My first tri
congrats, that's awesome. good to hear you enjoyed it and that it went well.
now, celebrate. then depending on the length of the race maybe take a couple days easy. If you're legs are sore you may consider a 30 minute spin on the bike or light run today to get the blood flowing and the lactate out. or treat yourslef to a massage or some time in a bath/spa.
if it was a sprint or oly, i'd try to keep up with your training and not take much time off. that'll only make it harder to get started again, and if you have another next month you'll want to keep going. just be sure you do have recovery (lighter volume and intensity) weeks every fourth week or so.
Great job congrats on your first tri. Keep up the training and get faster and better and then your next tri will be even better!

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't you are right!
took off the rest of the weekend. results still arent posted which is kind of fustrating, oh well. i started training again today and have one question. with weights i am doing a circuit training, what days should i do them on...swim, bike, run or the days that are a combo swim/run, swim/bike...?

Way to go, Jeff! I did the half ironman down there. Keep up the good work. Also, don't think that all tris are run as poorly as that one was. Most tris are very organized with results posted before you get home. Also, most tris have much better facilities and rest stops.

rumor has it the computer with the results got lost by the airline and they're looking into the manual backup times.
funny you say that i recieved an email a few minutes before reading this that stated that exactly!

I scour the web to try and stay in the know for you guys :D
results are posted now. i went an overall 1:27, swim-5:17, bike-52:35, run-29:18. I think it said I was 67/584 overall (1st and next tris combined). Hopefully when I do the tri in may I can improve my time by a lot!!!

i have a question and the more i look at the times the more it seems like some arent adding up. it doesnt really bother me on place and all that jazz just makes me wonder if there are precautions i need to look for during a race to make sure i get accurate times...i am pretty sure i recieved accurate times though in this one!!!
