Face Shield in Triathlons
Serious? How tricky can putting on sunglasses be? If you want the face shield go for the rocket, any time savings will most likely be minimal.

+1. Tricky? Mine are usually open and resting inside my helmet. Pull on the glasses, pull on the helmet, and I'm off.
Other sources say the windscreen is very aero, but I can't have them because I have to put my prescription on.
So you choose if you like them or not.

"Official" rules forbid modifications to helmets. How strict this is enforced, I do not know. You can get a Louis Garneau Windscreen and modify it to fit inside the Giro Advantage - there are some Slowtwitch posts about this. Frankly, I'm considering doing it. My sunglasses get all bunged up in my Giro and I have no idea why. To save time, and annoyance, I may just spend the money on the windscreen and put it on my helmet. Here's to hoping no one will care enough to DQ me... I'm not winning races anyway, so I don't know why it would be a big deal.

Does anybody wear a face shield on their aero helmets for triathlons?
I'm debating which aero helmet I'd like to buy. The Giro Advantage 2 doesn't have the option of a face shield and not sure how tricky it would be to put on sunglasses in T1. The LG Rocket Air has the possiblity of a face shield and I"m not sure how that would come into play in T1. I like the idea of a face shield so I wouldn't have to spend time with glasses, but unsure of the difficulties slipping it on.
