Hey guys, I just finished the National Marathon last weekend and came within 3 minutes of breaking my PR, which I am hugely proud of this early in the season. Anywho, it was a terrific race which I recommend to everyone of the marathoning (there is a half offered as well) persuasion.

Race report is posted here...

Nice report and good on you for the PR... Nice that you had family on "The Hill."
If you ever have a chance to come down for Marine Corps you'll see an Awesome expo at the Armory (although I think the race is over rated).

nice race report. i did the half and set my PR 1hr 15min, 20th in the half. i loved the race, but i'll just correct one thing on your report, the temperature was 28F when we were heading to race start and the electronic sign around mile 4 said 31F, ouch.... nice time by the way.

Ya' know, as my girlfriend points out, she did take a picture of a big fountain on the course that was all frozen over, still, by mile 14 or 15. I suppose I did greatly over exaggerate the warmth but it did really feel nice when I got up!

It was the warmest 28F I've ever experienced!
