race chip under compression socks?

The only difference is that it will be harder to loose under than over it. The chip will work fine both ways.

I put mine under my wetsuit leg so it does not get caught when taking the suit off. I have never had any problems. So I figure compression socks are the same.
race chip under compression socks cause any issues?
I see norman stadler at hawaii put his on the outside.
yet the white tall guy had his under his sock.
