Amy,
I have done the "hills of hell" both on the bike and a portion on foot. But I regret to inform you that I've not done the THON thing. I guess that's just a little too much for me! Congrats on your performance there, at least you know you have the endurance for multisports!

Well, I must appologize, I've actually been a member for a while, but have not taken the time to properly introduce myself. So here it goes...(this is kind of like the second grade where the teacher goes around the class room and asks for introductions! HA!).
I am a fitness NUT!! For my 24 yrs. on this planet, I have done nothing but live and breath exercise. I've have alway kept myself in shape and consider physical activity one of the most rewarding endevors on earth. I've been involved in multitude of different sports, from competitive powerlifting to the pole vault. In fact, I was always kind of a short-distance/non-endurance guy, until one day I conceived this GREAT idea...
I've been actively involved in multi-sports for roughly 4 years. My intrested spawned while living in the Virginia tidewater serving God and country. I decided to compete, (untrained) in a triathlon held locally at The College of William and Mary. I did this on a borrowed bike, wearing sneakers trying keep my feet on speedplay pedals. But in the end, I was hooked, the event was actually much more difficult than I preceived and the sport seemed like a real challenge. I'm sure most of you know how the rest of the story goes...3yrs. & $10K later here I am!
Now, I'm currently a student (again) at Penn State, studying Accounting and training. Well, maybe more of the latter. Only about a week after my first tri, I decided I was going to do Ironman (just my nature). So here we are, I've spent the last 18 months seriously getting ready; researching, training, and racing here and there. And I'll take my game to the big show July 24, '05 in Lake Placid. My goal, while lofty, is to get a spot in Kona, we'll see how it goes.
Best of luck to everyone this upcoming race season!
