Aero Postion feedback would be greatly appreciated!
How new is this position/bike for you? At first glance I can't see any major issues. When I first started riding aero I never thought I could hold that position for 112miles, it HURT, but now I'm more comfortable in an aero position than upright.
This is a new bike/ position. Everything feels great expect the traps! I got a good deal but the LBS knows just as much as I do on a tri fitting.

First, I would drop your seat a little. Your leg is close to straight at the bottom of the stroke, you want more of a bend. Follow these guidelines:

As far as the soreness, it could be from being new to the aero position. Give it a few weeks and see how you adjust. Your aerobars should be inline with your knees. I would bet that you are just too tense on your bike and that is doing it.

+1 on Aero position taking some time to get used to. Start with shorter distances and gradually increase over time.

Compared to a prime example (Sinballe), I see no major deviation. I might raise the seat ever so slightly, maybe one-fifth of an inch. You might get a bit more power too if you move the seat forward also about one-fifth of an inch. This is just a subjective opinion, though, go by how it feels, too.
On a side note, what size cranks are you on? I'm looking at your left lef on the upstroke and you might get more power out of one-size-up cranks. I'm guessing 170 now, switch out to 172.5?


Any more straight than that at the bottom of his stroke and the hips will be rocking. The pedal of our OP in the comparison pic above is at 4:30- 5, nowhere near the bottom of his stroke.

This is my current position on my bike. My upper traps/shoulders gets really sore while in the aero position. Is the stem too long? Or can it be that my aerobars are too narrow? Any advice or comments would be greatly appereciated!
