Hey guys, its time to get a new road bike and I was looking for some input. I don't have a ton of money to spend but I want to go carbon. My team gets a discount through the LBS to get cannondales at cost so I could get the 2009 Six carbon 5 for approx $1300. On the other hand I could buy a used 2006 Cervelo Soloist for the same price. Thoughts?

There is a Cannondale dealer in my area so I have come in contact with quite a few people who either ride them or once had one. It seems there is a love/hate thing with the brand. Some say they are incredible in both ride and quality of craftsmanship. Others complain of the bike "beating them up" due to it's unforgiving frame. One person had a serious issue with a bent frame and the customer service was horrible.
Try out the Cannondale and see how the fit and ride feel. $1300 seems like a sweet deal for a carbon/aluminum frame with 105.

My soloist is last years, but it's stiff, yet comfy and it's bloody fast. I love it! Is yours(or the one you are looking at) the carbon or alu? That's a sweet price for the Dale, but I would ride both to se how it feels.
