I had an interesting race experience last weekend at Tampa's Gasparilla 5K Walk...experiencing a "race" from the way back of the pack. I was inspired by the courage and determination of my client. You can read about it here: http://star.trifuel.net/2009/03/01/gasparilla-5k-walk/.

Unfortunately had on brand new Sketchers.

Ahh, the infamous Sketchers: They look cool and athletic, but alas, they are not. Fashion over function. I've had similar experiences with people who have run with me. They show up in Sketchers one time.

Haven't run into you in a while- that's cause I havent been out there. I probably wont be racing untill at least June, but sounds like you are already having fun. Way to support your friends!
Summer is right around the corner, so let's enjoy the cool weather while we can.
