I beleive it is April 12 this year. The one bike race to tell non bikers/athletes, pessimists, facebook junkies, 2 pack a day smokers, binge drinkers, etc to actually watch a bike race that they may find interesting and enjoy.

Got the DVD...It's a fine piece of work and a must see for cycling types. Not great, but sure has it's moments. Some of the camera shots make the cobbles look like mountains! A good mix of still photos from years past and new footage.
A few precious moments:
Lance Armstrong saying: "One of the great regrets of my career is never having started it."
Stuart O'Grady in tears at the finish.
Pre-race, cyclist after cyclist saying they would be happy just to finish.
Eddie Merckx's mechanic, who wrenches for Trek, talking about the race.
The past winners and their take on the day.
I've ridden some of these roads on visits across the pond, but it was on a railway station rental one speed balloon tire monster. It was tough!
