I'm doing the collegiate race earlier in the morning. I'm driving from OH in minivans with my team and another school's team... I'm from Ashland University, maybe you'll recognize us (we hope we'll have our team suits, we'll see) - of course it's in the middle of the year for us as well, we're leaving on Wed so I'll miss two days, not sure my professors will be happy for that.
I would love to do the Twenty-12 race, but I think you have to be american, and I'm not exactly that :D

Unfortunately I can't go. I have Ironman China the next day, would love to though. Surprised the race isn't full olympic though

It serves to identify up-and-coming elites. A lot of these are going to be guys coming up from the junior-elite races, which are all sprint-distance.

Gsal, good luck. Draft-legal is really tough, but it's a lot of fun.

Are there any other places besides ITU races where you can find draft-legal races, if you're not a junior anymore? I would love to try racing one.

They're pretty few and far between in the US. There's a series in central FL that has a super-sprint distance that's draft legal for the "elite" wave (there are no requirements for racing elite, so you just sign up). There are usually only a handful of people there, though. There might be similar races elsewhere, but for the most part you need a pro card to do draft-legal in the US, and even then there are less than ten domestic ITU races each year.
