Looking for bike set-up feedback
Might want to look into a zero rise stem. You dont have any spacers, which is nice, but that stem has you sticking way up there. Drop your seat down a little more as well. Your leg is almost completely straight, you should have a noticeable bend there.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
Ahh, thanks. I forgot about the stem... I could actually just flip it, maybe add back in some spacers if it's too low.

You're getting pretty close.
I think you'll be alright with the height after you flip the stem.
You have a pretty lean physiology that will allow you to go darn close to horizontal without your chest impeding your knees.
Let us know how that works out......

By the way, if you were actually pedaling and not just sitting stationary, you seem to have good heal drop. That's a favorable quality if you plan on running after the bike. You'll have much more fresh calves than a toe pointer.

I can't comment on your position because I'm still very much a newbie. I just want to say that I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has read that article then taken pix and drew the lines to see how they match up! I've since made changes since doing that, so I might update my position photo and then add it to a post like yours. I never thought of putting it on a post for everyone to critique. Thanks!
You might also try videoing your pedaling while on a trainer. It's much more effective than stopping pedaling at various moments to take a photo because the video allows you to pedal like you actually pedal (if that makes sense!). Warmup for a while then have somebody video your feet on both sides. Once you get it on your computer, go frame by frame to see your ankle position around the clock and compare to what it should be (I use The Triathlete Training Bible to define what ankle position should be). Be sure to do both sides and to have alot of light in the room (more than what is in your photo).
In homage to the ST articles: "Your seat's too high"
Though in your case, it actually is. Your knee angle is much too obtuse. I'd drop your post about an inch. Also, flip your stem to get a better drop up front, for sure. Your hip angle is wide open, so you have plenty of room to drop.
Additionally, your elbow angle is a bit open (greater than 90 deg) which will put additional stress on your shoulders to hold your body in place. This should improve when you flip your stem.
DAMN IT! I missed my "your seat is too high" chance! But ya, it really is. You could also use to drop your front end down quite a bit too.
Awesome advice guys... I appreciate it a lot.
- Flip stem
- Drop seat a bit
- Take another picture...
I'll also take the video, just to see if I really am getting that heal drop in motion. Would hate to find out I'm a "toe pointer". ;)
Thanks again,

So I made the adjustments:
- Flipped stem
- Lowered seat
It feels good. Had a two hour spin class today on it, and was comfortable in the aero position the whole time, no issues. The seat was definitely too high, thanks for pointing that out, noticed a distinct difference.
Final position is Here. I think from here it'll just be some minor tweaks for comfort.
Thanks all! :)

I got my forward seatpost and aerobars, so I had to revisit my bike set-up.
I did a DYI bike fit based on this article and my wife taking pictures of me on the bike. Not ideal, but I think I'm in the ballpark. :)
In the end I dropped the handlebars right down (removed spacers) and tweaked the seat position a little.
(See the attached picture of me on the bike)
Any comments/feedback is appreciated!
