I had been using the training log over at mapmyfitness and it worked OK but the entry time was cumbersome and then the actual data manipulation was not so good.

So after my 2 1/2 months off I decided that this year I will try the tri-fuel log. Guys I already see that it is worlds better and more user friendly. The graphs are just what the doctor ordered. Customization is even better on the colors. This first week back I can already see I need more weight training.

Thanks to whomever coded it and made it free on the site. I am sure that in a month or so I will be asking for your guys suggestion on what to add or change to my training so it is open to users of tri-fuel.

Just saying thanks.

I can't imagine--and have never seen--a tool that is both extremely easy to use AND powerful. Whoever designed/built it should go to work at Siebel and fix their awful application. ;)

Greatness is only achieved by those who perpetually raise the expectations of themselves to the point where it ruins their life.

I love that I can filter all my workouts by route.
I use several swim, bike, run routes that vary in both length and terrain to keep me from getting bored. I can see where I'm improving in speed, HR, and and even practice transitions.

Oh yeah, ......."Thanks Tribro!"

I just started training again and use the Log as the poowerful tool it is.
Having set a really tough goal I keep adding my entries right after a workout.
It's amazing, thanks a lot.

I like it (and have used it since the coolrunning/active debacle) because it is advanced enough that it doesn't dumb-down the entries. On a related note, anytime someone here makes claims about or gives advice based on their training or speed, check the "view shared log" :) Trust but verify.

"Trust but verify, if you think they are good at keeping up their log, and/or with being honest to themself there ;)"

Does the shared log show more than a week at a time? I can't remember any more.

edit: I checked. Shows last 14 weeks for training hour totals, and last 30 days for distance, time, pace, and full entry info.

TriSooner - You can trust my entries, that or I am awfully good at sand bagging overall capability :-).

I guess if it floats your boat to put ficticious numbers up that is cool. But personally after work/training/kids/wife. I don't have a lot of time to deal with maintaining two logs. One for boosting my overall online persona and one to analyze to see what I truly need to do to get better.

Thanks to Roger for that one. It's all his code from the atheticlog he built.

FYI I totally lie when filling out my log...I actually run, swim and bike waaaaayyy faster, longer and more technically correct that what I put down. I mean, come on, only Methusalah would have those kinds of workouts.

Another note of thanks here. I find it is an additional motivational tool for me to log workouts, track progress, and look back every week or so to see if I've been naughty or nice.

I became much more consistent with my training right around the time I started using the log. There were definitely other factors involved in that, but it certainly didn't hurt!
