I am just getting over it too. Eating sounds good to me. When I have been sick I try to stay a hydrated as possible. Keep fluid levels high and don't go ball's to the wall your first day back.
i think i just got hit by the flu too. my stomach hurts and i have a fever and all i can do is lay down and sick. this is my first time really getting sick in 5 years and i have no idea what to expect. i have class tomorrow and 2 tests, and today is the first day ive taken off of training in a long time. being sick sucks!

Same here, come back slow and listen to your body. Don't force yourself to do too much too soon. If you feel weak you need more rest. Resting sucks when weather is getting nice but you will appreciate it later when you are still training instead of wiped by another bout of the flu.

The bad news is that i missed 4 days of training and an indoor tri i was supposed to compete in. The good news is that i finally got my energy back and have pretty much resumed back to regular training now. It was hard at first b/c i was really weak, but im starting to feel like myself again. I hate being inconsistent so it drives me nuts to miss all that training, but sometimes things are just out of our control. I think i need to take care of myself better so i dont get sick again.

I am getting some kind of stomach flu. Anyone ever tried to train with a stomach flu and all the good side effects of it? I tried going to the gym yesterday and I think I spent more time in the restroom then on equipment. Oh well, I guess this might be a sign to slow down for a little while and get better. Just wish I did not have to work!

Avian influenza (H5N1) virus is possibly spreading among humans. The document notes concerns that the latest H5N1 strains could be resistant to the antiviral Relenza previously thought effective in fighting infection. H5N1 has picked up speed and is infecting & killing people in Vietnam again. Recent reports from the Philippines suggest a possibility of H5N1 having acquired moderate ability to move from human to human with a mortality rate of 68 %.

Relenza is a good medicine for flu session

I've been hit by the flu pretty bad this week end. I've lost all my energy and haven't been able to get my butt out and train. This is the first flu I've had in probably 5 years or so. I think the worst is over now, fever and chills are gone.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to bounce back after an illness? I would appreciate it.
