WTB: 61cm Cervelo P2SL
How tall are you? Unless you're 6'5" or taller, or are very inflexible, I'd recommend looking for a smaller frame. 2 reasons: 1) you'll be able to find them more easily - 61's aren't often found on salesroom floors; and 2) the smaller frame has a shorter head-tube, so you'll be lower, and faster if you're comfortable.
i'm 6'6", 36" inseam, so 61cm should be for me.
dam your tall.

Yeah, 61 sounds right. Somebody listed one on Craigslist in Louisville (I presume the ultegra) for $1250 a couple weeks ago. Not sure if he still has is, but it sounds like he'd be able to ship it. Link.
i drove to North Dallas (bit over 12hr round trip) for this one

only to get there and see a 54cm sticker on it. great price for someone, it was like new, with helmet + pump all for $800.
i was bummed...
I think I may pay $1399 new from the http://www.artscyclery.com/descpage-A02190.html before I'd pay $1250 used... Dont you think?
Trek also makes their Equinoxes in a tall 60cm size. If the P2sl doesnt work out for you, look at the Trek.
Life is short. Play hard and get dirty doing it.
It depends on who you can talk down. Total mileage on used bikes almost always is deflated, perhaps not intentionally, but inevitabily so. For the used bike, you'd probably need to change the chain pretty quickly, or at least after winter, which may require a cassette swap as well depending on mileage and wear. Doing that, you're looking at another $100 on top of the used ride. I'd offer 1100 for the used bike and see what happens. It may not be as pretty, but all the minor problems should be worked out and if the guy is a mechanic, it's probably running better than a new one right outof the box. If you can't get him to back down from the 1250 price, go with the new one (but call them and see if they can give you a deal as well) $1400 is good for a new Ultegra bike, especially one in that size.

I'm looking for a good buy on a closeout or used 61cm cervelo p2sl for a beginner.
