I tried a bunch from friends and at local shops, then bought online. It was way cheaper even then buying used here. I found wetsuitman on ebay which worked for me, but sooner is right to make sure you try them on and swim in them. You need to know how it feels with your stroke and your body type. I used the ones I tried for at least 3-4kms to get a good idea how it would feel. Good luck!

I don't have a wetsuit, but am looking too. I talked to a buddy at work that had to rent one for a recent TRI. He said that a lot of the rental places say that if you come back to buy a suit from them after renting, you will get the rental price's credit toward the purchase. So, I don't think you'd lose anything going to a place, trying some on, renting it for your race, and if you want to continue with the sport, purchase using the rental credit. That way, you have a race to try out something and you're virtually not out any money.

I am planning on going down to TriSports to get fitted when I finally get approval from management (the wife) to get one. :) Definitely want to make sure it's the right one for me.
