Rest day? Argh!

We got a snow day today here in Madison, so I'm home all day, going stir-crazy. And it's a rest day on my workout schedule! I really want to go out and go for a run, but I have to resist. I know that recovery is just as important as the exercise. But after only 3 weeks of my 36 week training program, I'm getting really addicted to the workouts!

Do core for an hour, :). In florida it's about 80 right now, so I don't have that problem , and if I did, I'd go to the movies or something, and you're not to old to do that haha.

I know exactly what you mean, I'm about 6 weeks into my 20 week program and the groove owns me.

Deep breath. Repeat after me: "I grow stronger when I rest. I grow stronger when I rest. I grow..."

Over a foot here in upstate NY so far, (where my house is at)....winchill at -2 and winds at 20mph. Beautiful out right? Well my scheduled workout was a 1hr swim so I went to the gym to do that, to find that the pool was closed.....be-a-u-ti-ful. So I put in a quick 35min run and came home. Didn't bike today because I am suppose to hit a 2hr bike tomorrow with either an hour swim or an hour run after. What a lazy day!

Going on 5 days of snow here on the hill we live on. Luckily, I snuck my long run in on Sunday before the first flakes fell. Since then, I've gotten to swim once, and ran on the indoor track at our gym (1/16th of a mile long - talk about crazy-making!) and the rest of the time it's miles on the trainer in the basement ...sigh...

The kids love sledding, and I love the snow, but I miss my run and my swim!

Careful what you ask for.

Count your blessings. I threw my back out & have been on a 2-week "rest day" and counting. Argh, indeed.
