I am new to Florida and I am having a hard time getting into the swing of things w/o my positive motivators back home. I used to live in New Orleans, Louisiana. It seems like I was doing some kind of run or some kind of organized activity every weekend. And now I am stuck in a gym 6 days a week :eek: Maybe someone can offer some advice:) Or even a website??

hi nicole. the first thing i suggest is go to the local bike shop ... ask where the groups rides are at, also there should be a running shoe stro that may have group runs and there is the masters swim teams in your area. those are good places to meet people. Also you have lots of TRI's in florida. I may be doing the panama city 1/2 IM in may.
I'm originally from Pensacola. That area in the panhandle is a great place to be with plenty of activities. Give it some time and that area will grow on you.
