Not sure if you know it already but the Vortex 2 is on sale for $149 (original $395).

I bought the Vortex 2 when they were running their 50% off sale and only got one swim in before the open waters closed down for winter. I'm not a wetsuit expert but it seemed to be a good suit, for $149 I don't think you could go wrong.

yes I saw the special offer. It seems to update to a new sale code each time it ends.
Seems like a pretty good suit for the price. I value longevity over performance when it comes to wetsuits (I don't want to get another one for at least 4-5 busy seasons)
My Ventilator full suit has served me well for the last 4 years but it is showing signs of age. The skin is pitting in some areas and there are some cuts and small areas with scraped off neoprene. I'd like to pick up a Vortex 2 and seems to be the economy equivalent to the old Ventilator. Has anyone had the chance to use both? Would this be a step up from what I have?
