Holiday Giveaway
Thanks for the spam
Thanks for the spam
Ok scrooge!
I'm confused. I got some vendors to share some products which I'm offering FREE via a holiday contest. So I'm not sure why you would consider this spam. Feel free not to participate if you don't want...

A contest to promote your website, from what it appears?
Sorry you see it that way, I can see why you think that way but TRIJUICE does not have a newletter, so it's not like I can just let all our readers know about the holiday giveaway. The first contest idea was to help us let you know and others know about the FREEBIES, that's it. The holiday is right around the corner and I wanted to get everything out to everyone before then.
I posted the link here so you guys would know about the contest, that's it. The other contests for the giveaway would be question and answer.
SPAM would be like going to every tri website on the web and promoting the contest which I'm not doing. A recent post here is all over the tri forums: 1/2 ironman distance, IRONMAYA TRIATHLON IN TIKAL, GUATEMALA. The user on all the websites were the post is comes from a newly registered user.
A recent contest on another website asked users to link to the website or register for the newsletter for a chance to win, then the user is picked at random.

triNick has been here a long time, and contributed to the site in many non-promoting ways since I've been here. This self-promotion seems harmless to me, compared to the blatant spamming we recieve from other parties.
Thanks for the heads up, Nick
+2 thanks for the link
+3 TriNick has paid his dues, and the chance of free stuff in this economic climate is most welcome.
jnrice, do your homework before you flame someone.
Thanks guys for your support, I really appreciate it.
Contest #2 is OPEN.

+4. hard for me to keep up with some of the spam, but Nick has been a contributing member for 1272 days :) so i trust he's not trying to take advantage of the forum but rather sharing his passion with his friends and fellow triathletes here...
Plus it's not just always about his site, but just joining discussions...
I've checked it out Nick. Fun stuff :)
